Harrisburg Young Professionals LeadersHYP Summit to Highlight Educational Empowerment, Crowdfunding and Entrepreneurship 

On September 27, Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) will present the 2013 LeadersHYP Summit at Harrisburg University from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This HYP event provides an opportunity for central Pennsylvania’s young professionals to network and learn from experts in the fields of leadership coaching, crowdfunding and entrepreneurship.

The Summit’s schedule is filled with hands-on workshops and empowering speakers. The event opens with breakfast and a welcome from Meron Yemane, HYP President. After the opening remarks, Mike Greene, Founder and CEO of IntegrityWorks Coaching, will charge attendees with becoming “PEAK” performers by pursuing perspective, expertise, action and knowledge.

The keynote address will be presented by Alon Hillel-Tuch, Founder and CFO of RocketHub Inc., a rapidly expanding online community and launch pad for creative innovations through crowdfunding. Hillel-Tuch will explain effective strategies of the crowdfunding movement and offer advice for local innovators to achieve success.

Other featured speakers and workshop presenters include Marcellus Taylor and Jim Carchidi, CSP. Taylor, author of “Don’t Box Me In,” Founder and CEO of Krimson Works LLC and 2012 graduate of Penn State University – Harrisburg Campus, will lead a workshop session on educational empowerment and leadership development. Carchidi, Executive Vice President and Co-owner of the JFC Staffing Companies, will motivate attendees through a session titled, “Fierce Conversations: Coaching 101.”

The afternoon will conclude with a power-packed feature session by Jeff Witmer, a master business coach, entrepreneur and Partner in Action Coach of Central PA. Witmer will offer tips on achieving exceptional results through small changes in everyday routines during the closing presentation titled, “Why 99% is Not Good Enough, But 1% is Amazing.”
