On Saturday, June 15th, a memo went out to all of Broad Street Market’s vendors saying that the chair of the Broad Street Market Board of Directors accepted the resignation of the Market’s manager, Dennise Hill, effective two days prior.
Hill had been the manager of the market since the spring of 2012. No explanation was given for her resignation.
Until a new manager is found, those duties will fall to a staff member of the market’s accounting firm, Padget Business Services beginning Monday, June 17th.
The facilities manager, Rafiyqa Muhammad, will continue her responsibilities.
The memo was sent to not only vendors, but also the City of Harrisburg and Historic Harrisburg Association as stakeholders.
